Education has always been an important part of society, and with the passage of time, its importance has only increased. However, the current era is highly competitive and dynamic. Therefore, the role of teaching staff in this competitive era has also changed. The need for a new professional profile of teaching staff in order to survive in this competitive era has been discussed in the following.

Technological competence

Technological competence is a crucial skill for teaching staff in today's competitive era. Technology has become an integral part of our lives, and education is no exception. Teaching staff needs to be able to use technology effectively to enhance the learning experience of their students. This includes not only using educational technology, but also being able to navigate various software programs, applications, and online platforms. In order to be technologically competent, teaching staff needs to stay up-todate with the latest technological developments and advancements in education. They need to be familiar with various teaching tools and resources such as learning management systems, interactive whiteboards, online quizzes and surveys, and virtual reality simulations.

Moreover, teaching staff should be able to integrate technology into their teaching methods in a way that enhances student engagement, improves student outcomes, and prepares students for the digital age. This includes using technology to create interactive and multimedia-rich lessons, providing students with access to online resources and assignments, and using educational software programs to monitor student progress and provide feedback. Teaching staff should also be able to use technology to communicate effectively with their students, parents, and colleagues. This includes using email, social media, and online discussion forums to stay in touch with students and parents, as well as using video conferencing tools to conduct virtual meetings with colleagues.

Adaptability 

Adaptability is a key skill for teaching staff to possess in this competitive era. The world is constantly changing, and the education system is no exception. New teaching methodologies, technologies, and approaches to education are being developed all the time, and teachers need to be able to adapt to these changes. Adaptability means being open to change and willing to learn new things. It means being able to adjust to new teaching styles, new technologies, and new student needs. Emotional intelligence also enables teachers to manage their own stress and emotions effectively. This can help them to avoid burnout, maintain their passion for teaching, and provide high-quality education to their students over the long term.

Effective communication 

Effective communication is a vital skill for teaching staff to have in this competitive era. Teachers must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with their students, parents, and colleagues in order to create a positive and productive learning environment. Effective communication involves not only verbal communication, but also nonverbal communication, active listening, and the ability to convey complex information in a simple and understandable way. Teachers must be able to communicate instructions, feedback, and expectations clearly and effectively to their students, and they must be able to understand and respond to their students' needs and concerns.

Teachers must be able to communicate their ideas and concerns clearly and respectfully, and they must be able to listen actively to the perspectives of others. Finally, creative multicultural competence also involves the ability to adapt to different cultural contexts and teaching situations. Teaching staff who are able to adapt their teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners and cultural contexts are better able to promote student learning and achievement.

Continuous learning 

Continuous learning is a vital skill for teaching staff to have in this competitive era. It involves a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new teaching strategies and technologies. Continuous learning involves a variety of activities, such as attending professional development workshops and conferences, reading academic journals and educational research, participating in online learning communities, and seeking out feedback from colleagues and students. Teachers must be willing to continuously reflect on and improve their teaching practices in order to effectively meet the needs of their students. Continuous learning also involves keeping up-to-date with new technologies and teaching strategies. As technology continues to advance, teachers must be able to effectively integrate new tools and technologies into their teaching practices in order to enhance the learning experience of their students. Continuous learning also involves a willingness to take risks and try new approaches to teaching. Teachers must be willing to step out of their comfort zones and experiment with new teaching strategies in order to meet the diverse needs of their students. 

 

Leadership skills

Leadership skills are a crucial set of skills for teaching staff to have in this competitive era. Teachers with strong leadership skills are able to effectively lead and motivate their colleagues, to develop and implement school-wide initiatives, and to foster a positive and productive learning environment. Leadership skills involve the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, to build strong relationships, and to inspire and motivate others. Teachers must be able to effectively lead teams of colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives, and to facilitate open communication and collaboration among team members.

Moreover, leadership skills also involve the ability to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that support the academic and socialemotional growth of students. This includes initiatives such as curriculum development, professional development programs for teachers, and student support services. Leadership skills also involve the ability to effectively manage conflict and to promote a positive and productive learning environment. Teachers must be able to address and resolve conflicts in a constructive and respectful manner, and to promote a culture of respect, inclusivity, and equity in the classroom and school-wide.
